On May 20, 2025, First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili discussed the prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between Georgia and the State of Qatar during a meeting with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, which took place as part of the First Vice Prime Minister's visit to Qatar.
