Embassy of Georgia to the State of Qatar

On July 15, 2026, the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, met with HH the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, at Lusail Palace in Doha. During the meeting, the President of Georgia personally conveyed his condolences to the Amir of the State of Qatar on the passing of HH the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and paid tribute to his significant contribution to the development of the modern State of Qatar.

On July 8, 2026, the Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar H.E. Varlam Avaliani, held a meeting with H.E. Abdulla bin Khalaf Hattab Al Kaabi, the Undersecretary of the Qatari Ministry of Interior.  

On June 8, 2026, the Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar H.E. Varlam Avaliani, held a meeting with H.E. Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

On June 3, 2026, the Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar H.E. Varlam Avaliani, held a meeting with the Director General of Al Jazeera Network, H.E. Sheikh Nasser bin Faisal bin Khalifa Al Thani.

On May 19, 2026, the Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar H.E. Varlam Avaliani, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim the Speaker of the Shura Council.

On May 17, 2026, the Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar H.E. Varlam Avaliani, held a meeting with H.E. Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, the Chairman of Qatar Tourism.
