On 15 October 2022, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Georgia to the State of Qatar with the Georgian students studying at the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Program at the Qatar University.
Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar Nikoloz Revazishvili and the Georgian students discussed bilateral relations between Georgia and the State of Qatar, along with the existing cooperation between the two countries in the field of education. The meeting focused on the prospects of obtaining grants for study programs offered by different universities in the State of Qatar, as well as the possibilities of involving Georgian students in various local projects.
Ambassador thanked the Georgian students for participating in the project organized by the Museum of Islamic Art of Qatar and for reading out the book of Antoine de Saint-Exupery ‘The Little Prince’ in Georgian language. The multilingual, record reading project envisaged the reading of the above-mentioned book by the representatives of 56 different languages and achieving a new Guinness World Record for Reading Relay.
With the initiative and support of the Embassy of Georgia to the State of Qatar, Georgian students read the work in Georgian language and participated as jury members in the event dedicated to achieving a new Guinness World Record held in the Museum of Islamic Art on 12 October 2022. Following the event, the certificates of participation for achieving Guinness World Record were distributed to the Georgian students.
