On 6 July 2022, the leading Qatari newspaper - Al Sharq published an interview with Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar Nikoloz Revazishvili titled: "Positive results of the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Qatar".
In the interview, the Ambassador talks about the productive and successful cooperation between Georgia and Qatar, paying particular attention to the positive results of the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the State of Qatar on 20-21 June 2022. In this context, the Ambassador emphasizes the high-level meetings as well as the agreements on Mutual Support and Protection of Investments and Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation signed between the Governments of two countries within the scope of the mentioned visit.
In the article, the Ambassador also highlights the investment environment for Qatari investments in Georgia, the increased volume of agricultural products imported to Qatar, and the growing flow of tourists from Qatar to Georgia.
The interview notes that the growing dynamics observed distinguishes Georgia as one of the most popular post-pandemic destination countries.
The article also emphasizes number of cultural projects organized by the initiative of the Embassy of Georgia in Qatar this year, such as the opening of the Georgian corner in the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, Georgian Cinema Days and the exhibition of Georgian artist Gela Patiashvili held in the Katara Cultural Village.
