Georgian Movie Days are being held in the Drama Theatre of Katara

Within the framework of celebrations marking the Independence Day of Georgia, Georgian Movie Days are being held in the Drama Theatre of Katara, orsanised by the Embassy of Georgia to the State of Qatar in cooperation with the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara.

On 24 May 2022, Georgian Movie Days were opened with the screening of "Tangerines" directed by Georgian filmmaker Zaza Urushadze. The event was attended by the Ambassadors of various countries accredited to the State of Qatar and representatives of the diplomatic corps, academia and art circles, as well as Georgian citizens residing in Qatar.

The screening of "Dede" directed by Mariam Khatchvani was held on 25 May. The Georgian Movie Days will conclude on 29 May with the screening of George Ovashvili's film - "Corn Island".
